Annual Scholarship & Grant Program Guidelines

The Helen Helps Foundation has an annual scholarship/grant charitable arm to allocate educational scholarships and grants to worthy applicants. Under the Program, students will be awarded scholarships based on the strength of their application package.

Eligibility: Any student who has been accepted to a College or University in the United States or any student who is currently enrolled in an undergraduate, Masters or PHD Program at a College or University in the United States. Law and Medical degrees are also considered. Children of the Helen Helps Foundation employees are eligible to apply and should contact the Foundation directly for more information.

Program Guidelines & Priorities:
* Seeking graduating seniors with a record of academic achievement, non-school sponsored activities and participation in extracurricular school activities.
* Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, a total family annual income under $75,000, and plans to attend or already attending a 2 or 4 year college or technical school, a Masters or PHD Program. Law and Medical Degree Scholarships are also considered.
* Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college and not to the student. It will be the student’s responsibility to submit to the Foundation at that time an invoice for semester tuition and fees, student ID number and college information.
* Applicants must have the endorsement of a supporter on their application attesting they are a qualified fit for this scholarship program.

The applications will be reviewed and recipients selected by a committee consisting of volunteers from Berkshire Bank. The scholarships will be awarded in May 2013.
